The village of Moale in the Central African Republic has been waiting for fresh water for 16 years. On Tuesday at 4:30 p.m. ET, viewers from around the world can watch a team of volunteers drill more than 700 feet to reach a water source to create a permanent well via a live stream from charity: water . Donald Kohn: Fed Should Consider More Stimulus

The former vice chairman of the Federal Reserve, who retired last week after 40 years at the central bank, says that the economy is in “a slow slog out of a very deep hole,” and that the Fed should consider additional stimulus unless the recovery shows signs of “decent progress.” The departure of the official, Donald L. Kohn, who as the Fed’s No. 2 official played a pivotal role in its handling of the financial crisis, is something of an end of an era. A staff economist who worked his way up through the ranks, Mr. Kohn was one of the last direct links to Paul A. Volcker and Alan Greenspan, the chairmen who defined the modern Fed. Girl In Puppy Throwing Video Found By Bosnian Police

(AP) SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina – Police in Bosnia say they believe they have located a young woman shown in a video throwing puppies into a river. (Scroll down for video) Police in the central Bosnian town of Bugojno said Friday they have found the girl they suspect is seen on the video killing six newborn puppies by throwing them into the river one by one. The disturbing video provoked worldwide outrage after being posted online earlier this week. Police say they have located the girl, who is a juvenile, from leads given by animal protection groups in the country. The girl’s parents will soon be questioned, police said. Under recently adopted animal protection law, people can be fined up to euro5,000 ($6,400) for cruel treatment of animals.
